This is a nice area, very remote and peaceful. The trails are wide, mostly flat and well marked. A great place to unwind. However, don’t forget the bug spray like I did, because the mosquitoes were out in force and found me to their liking. I spent more time dealing with them than enjoying the sights around me.

It's a small park with beautiful views of a lake and some fishing. There are hiking trails when it's not been raining. When I visited almost every trail was underwater.
The park is clean and the trails are very scenic. You can camp here and there is a very nice lake you can kayak or boat (electric only) on. No swimming.
The walking trail next to the visitors center is an easy trail that loops back to the other side of the visitors center. There is two small bridges you walk across that cover small creeks. They have picnic shelters as well by the lake. Overall a nice walk.
Cool place. Few hiking trail options, big old trees and peace & quiet. Not too busy amd worth the stop.
Don't come here if you're looking for frills. What you will find here is nature how some people still enjoy it.

Listed as dog friendly but only one "trail" dogs are allowed which you can only tell because at one time it was mowed no clue when. Had to step over downed trees and move branches out of the way. Not friendly to humans with mobility issues with pets.
