This park is small but nicely kept. The Council Oak is a Champion Tree, a massive White Oak. There are park benches, picnic tables, and a swingset. We visited during the flooding in early June 2019. The water was very high, but the place was still lovely. Lots of ppl go here to fish from the banks.
Really nice old-fashioned, clean, little neighborhood playground with shade trees and good grass. The champion white oak and cottonwood are also there. And the river is so fun! No restrooms as I recall.
If you like history; you should see this place!! The oak is amazing!!
