Wasn't even expecting to find this littler secret garden near the mansion but wow was it special. Even Breathtaking location! Gorgeously preserved historical buildings and plenty of beach and grass space. Perfect for a picnic, day at the beach.

What an incredible well managed gem of a green space. Came here to kick off my New England Summer trip and it truly didn't disappoint!

Old beautiful mansion given to the state. Guided tours given by docents from Friends of Harkness. Fascinating history. Expansive gardens. Free parking for state plates five dollars for out of state. the grounds are wheel chair accessible. Well worth the trip. Spend the day.
