An awesome demonstration of natures o unimpeded power. The fires have disimated the forest but nature stands tall with many other offerings. Moreover the hike to the peak was challenging but fun. Visited Lassen Volcanic National Park during the first week of July and had an amazing time! The weather was perfect—beautiful and sunny during the day, cooling down nicely at night. The views throughout the park are absolutely stunning. We stayed at Manzanita Campground and loved it; it's a fantastic spot to camp!
Lassen overdelivered on all my expectations. Incredibly accessible with tons of stunning areas. I highly recommend starting from the main volcanic sections which are really busy. Lassen peak hike was fantastic, and the views of Mt. Shasta from the peak were gorgeous.
AWESOME! Hike up to the top of Lassen Peak to experience the sunrise. A tough climb but worth the effort. The entire park is beautiful and recovering well after the wildfire devastation. A bit out of the way in Northern California but definitely worth the trip.
We drove the scenic (only) road entering at the north and exiting south. We didn’t know quite what to expect. Boy Howdy! We’re we ever surprised! First, we got into the snowpack and finally tipped the scales at 8500 feet in stunning scenery on this bright, clear and crisp day. What a beautiful park!
