Moro Bay State Park has an aggregate rating of 4.7 based on 433 reviews. Reviewers share mixed opinions. Some describe the park as primarily for fishing, noting that three waterways converge there and that canoe and party barge rentals are available, with guided river tours offered by appointment. Others found it "wicked boring" and small, with the decommissioned ferry cited as a point of interest. Several visitors praised the cabins, calling them cozy and well-equipped, with one noting all cooking utensils were provided. A few reviewers mentioned enjoying cabin stays with family, though one reported an unannounced maintenance staff visit before checkout. Another visitor described an enjoyable, easy, mostly level one-mile hike on sandy soil from the docks to the trail and back. The RV camping sites were described as paved, fairly level, with full hookups, fire rings, sturdy metal picnic tables, a tent area, and a lantern pole. One reviewer noted the park is well-kept with great sites, and another mentioned seeing a deer visit their campsite daily. A visitor who did not stay at the park still rated it 5 stars and planned a future camping or cabin trip. One reviewer found the old ferry interesting to walk on and noted the visitor center has small exhibits.

Wicked Boring, super small and no real adventure to be had. Coolest thing there is the decommissioned Ferry. Is a point of interest for you to get your StatePark stamp book finished.

I was last at Moro Bay in Late 2023. The park is a whole lot different in the spring. The trail is marked better, the day was cooler. An enjoyable hike of just about a mile from the parking area at the docks to the trail and back. Mostly level, sandy soil. Easy hike for young and old.
