Reviewers describe the park as beautiful and mention highlights such as the Signal Hill Hike to Arkansas's highest point, a scenic byway drive, and a well-regarded visitor center. Some note the lodge, cabins, camping, and trails positively, including one reviewer who called the park "heaven on earth if you love mountains." Another visitor praised the park's events. There are a few mixed or critical reviews. One reviewer gave 4 stars, stating the lodge's views and stay were spectacular and the food was good, but noted some front staff were unfriendly. This place was unbelievable! I haven’t been to Arkansas in a long time but would definitely come back here. It was misty and humid but that made the atmosphere so much cooler in my opinion. The visitor’s center was very nice as well.

Lovely park up in the cool air of the mountain. Great trails and fab views. Was a bit alarmed with the weather as we were on the extreme edge of a tornado but just added to the atmosphere for us.

This park has 5 star potential easily but my experience sadly did not earn it. Weather was bad, very limited views and everything was dead at the top for some reason. I thought signal hill would have had better views but it’s in the middle of nowhere.

We camped here with our RV what a beautiful park. We toured the lodge, hiked a trail, my husband rode his bike down the mountain, we had two meals at the lodge. We drove by the cabins and what a spectacular view.
