Good place to sit on a park bench. But they chain the boat launch so you have to carry your own from the no-parking area, and then find somewhere else to park. Otherwise it's a good place to launch a kayak or canoe. There is one garbage can which is convenient.
This is a tiny beach, I wouldn't swim here or necessarily spend much time, but it's a pretty spot to stop along a walk down Niantic River Rd. Always clean, never anyone there. Picnic table if you want to stay a bit, and you can launch a kayak etc from here
